৩৮তম বিসিএস: Confusing English
Most Confusing English for Exam.
1. Lay-laid-laid_means keep something.
Ex.The postman laid the mail yesterday.
Ex2, He lays the mail on the table.

2. Lie-lay-lain_means to sleep.
Ex. He lies on the sofa.
Ex2, He lay on sofa yesterday.

3. We are not agree on the point.
But, He is agree to my proposal.
4. Let me die in peace.
But, He died by accident, for country, from over eating, of cancer.
5. He is looking into the matter. But, He is looking over (examining) the answer sheet.
6. Wordly, Earthly, Cowardly, Sprightly is Adjective.
N.B when Noun+ly then it becomes adjective. But, Adjective+ly= Adverb.
7. "She Walks in Beauty"_written by Lord Byron. But, "I Died For Beauty"_written by Emily Dickinson.
8. Who wrote, "Half a league, half a league "_ Lord Alfred Tennyson.
9. "Hold fast to dream" by Langston Huges.
But, "All people dream but not equally" by D.H Lawrence.
10. 'Dreams' poem _by_ D.H Lawrence and Langston Huges.
